Foundation
The first Cumulus concept established the core direction: contactless sensing, privacy-first hardware and a calmer parent experience.

Compute, microphone, temperature and humidity sensing were integrated into a working engineering prototype and purpose-built enclosure.

60 GHz radar integration and testing are advancing the contactless movement and breathing-related motion pipeline.

Our LEAP East story
We travelled to Hong Kong as two high school founders with a working engineering prototype and a clear belief: intelligent baby monitoring should not require cameras or wearables.
LEAP East gave us the opportunity to present Cumulus as a serious AI hardware product, share the thinking behind its privacy-first design and learn from an international technology community. The experience strengthened both our product story and our determination to build it well.
Technology and product
Bianca represented the technical execution behind Cumulus: hardware integration, software, AI development and product design. In Hong Kong, she explained how radar, audio and environmental sensing can work together without placing a camera in the room or a wearable on the baby.
Strategy and partnerships
Alexandru represented the product and business vision: strategy, partnerships, fundraising and business development. At LEAP East, he presented the opportunity behind privacy-first monitoring and opened conversations around investment, pilots, mentorship and manufacturing.
What we brought home
Presenting beyond Romania helped us see Cumulus in the context of an international AI hardware market.
The event helped us explain the product with greater clarity: useful context built from intelligent, non-visual sensing.
We returned focused on moving from an engineering prototype toward product validation, pilots and production readiness.
